Light-Weight Static Dissipative Hose with Stainless Steel 316 Wire Helix
The Flx-Thane LD-SD SS 316 is a light-weight clear static dissipative polyurethane hose reinforced with a Stainless Steel 316 spring wire helix. It shares the same permanent, non-humidity dependent ESD protection as the standard LD-SD (surface resistivity 108–1010 Ohms/Square), but replaces the bronze-coated spring steel with SS 316 for superior rust resistance in corrosive or high-moisture environments. Manufactured with FDA acceptable materials. Wall thickness is .015" at 2" ID (.020" at 2.5" and above).

This hose is the right call when the application needs static dissipation and the environment would corrode a standard bronze-coated wire helix — wet dust collection, chemical-adjacent air handling, washdown areas, or any setup where moisture and corrosive agents are part of the operating environment.

Match inside diameter to your dust collector, vacuum system, or air handler inlet. The SS 316 helix adds rust resistance but does not change flexibility or compressibility compared to the standard Flx-Thane LD-SD — choose between them based on environment, not handling characteristics.
